13 December: Toy Toy

14 December: 12 Pubs of Xmas

The 12 Pubs of Xmas is back! Now in its third year, the city’s most outrageous Christmas pub crawl originates in Ireland where people don the most extreme Christmas outfits and ramble between a total of 12 different pubs in the area and downing at least one beverage at each. Taking place at 1 Fox Precinct on 14 December, there are strict and complicated rules to follow at each pub. Tickets available on www.howler.co.za  at R150 – R500.

14 December: That’s Nice!

Braamfontein’s newest brunch party, That’s Nice! is set to debut at 99 Juta on 14 December. The dreamy marshmallow coloured courtyard makes for the perfect backdrop to this new brunch-time party taking advantage of Joburg’s prime summer days. 15 December: The Lion and the Lamb

Catch a rare glimpse of legendary stage and screen actor, Dr. John Kani, in The Lion and the Lamb. Showing at the Market Theatre on 15 December, the hugely successful musical play originally created by Kani and Barney Simon, comes back after a decade for a delightful festive season. Kani reprises his leading role in a performance that will see the telling of the biblically-based story of Christ’s life brought vibrantly to life on stage. 15 December: Jazz and Food Pairing Afternoons
