Parktown matrics give their shoes to those in need following their final exam

PARKVIEW - The matric Class of 2019 left their shoes at school following their final exam.

On 26 November, Parktown High School for Girls wrote their final examination paper. As is Parktown tradition, the matrics left behind their shoes as they exited the hall for the last time.

The shoes have been donated to the ‘Footloose’ Shoe Collection run by the St Vincent de Paul Society. This is a non-profit social service organisation dedicated to serving people in need. These donations are distributed to children in need in Soweto – many of whom often do not go to school because they do not have shoes to wear.
