Mother’s Union continues to help homeless people

BRAMLEY – The Mother's Union from St Catherine's Anglican Church is dedicated to helping homeless people.

The Mother’s Union from St Catherine’s Anglican Church in Bramley continues to help the homeless people in the area, hoping to eradicate the problem.

The union from time to time would cook meals and give them to homeless people or spend time with them.

During these sessions, which are usually held at the Bramley Police Station, the mothers from the union also pray for the homeless.

On Sunday 17 November the union, accompanied by police, visited various spots in the Bramley area.

“We went next to one of the scrap metal places in the area and it was very humbling to see how the youngsters drowning in addiction are looking for help,” said Nombulelo Thabane from the union.

She said they distributed about 80 T-shirts to some of the homeless people.

In one of the areas, they met a young woman who requested help and insisted that she wanted to kick the habit.

“We also want to thank our sponsors who help us from time to time including Food Lovers Eatery in Braamfontein, Barrons T-shirts and the Bramley police for their support and the prayers from our family at St Catherine’s Church,” she said.
