Greenside High School’s annual Cultural Awards Evening saw award-winning theatre practitioners Dillion Pillay, Lilita Makawhula and Assanté Ameen triumph as Drama Student of the Year trophies were awarded to them for the astounding accolades they collected in various prestigious theatre competitions.
In addition, Assanté was bestowed with the trophy for Prolific Diverse Cultural Contribution for five years in debating, dance, choir, public speaking and drama.
Director of culture at Greenside High Annelize Hicks said, “These inspiring names will be engraved in gold on the honours board to encourage future leaders at Greenside High School.”
