Bramley sector policing forums to elect executives

BRAMLEY – The sectors are divided into four and the elections will be held at four different locations.


Residents in the Bramley policing precinct are invited to attend upcoming elections of the new sector forums.

Spokesperson for the Bramley Police Station, Captain Molefe Mogodi explained that residents will elect new leaders in four of their different sectors. “We urge residents to attend and participate in these elections to enable themselves to be part of a crime prevention and combating team in their respective sectors. People who reside in these areas are the only people who can participate, elect or even be elected.”

Details of upcoming elections:

  • Sector 1 (includes Marlboro Gardens, Marlboro South and Setjwetla) elections will take place at Marlboro Stadium Hall on 23 October
  • Sector 2 (includes Bramley, Bramley Park and North, Savoy, Gresswold, Raumarais Park and Kew) elections will take place at Bramley Police Station’s Crime Prevention House on 5 November
  • Sector 3 (includes Fairways, Winston Ridge, Elton Hill, Athol Hurst, Athol, Wierda Valley, Athol Garden, Sandown, Strathavon and Barlow Park) elections will take place at Sasol Building, Katherine Street, Wierda Valley on 20 November
  • Sector 4 (Sandhurst, Hyde Park, Illovo, Inanda, Part of Parkmore and Part of Dunkeld West) elections will take place at Saxon Hotel on 19 October.

The elections will be administered by an official from the Gauteng Department of Community safety who will, on the day, explain the procedures to be followed in this process in detail.
