Police mourn following the death of a colleague

YEOVILLE – Police officials from the Yeoville Police Station are mourning following the death of their colleague who worked at the station for 13 years.


Sergeant Tshwarelo Timmy Moloi who worked at the Yeoville Police Station for 13 years, has passed away.

The 42-year-old Sergeant Moloi who would have celebrated his 43rd birthday on Saturday, 12 October passed away on Thursday, 26 September after he was involved in a car accident.

“It is with sad regrets to announce the passing of Sergeant Timmy Moloi who passed away last week Thursday,” said the station spokesperson Captain Sifiso Mabizela.

His memorial service was held at the police station’s hall on Thursday, 3 October.

Moloi worked at the station since 2006 and was buried at his home on Saturday, 5 October with the funeral service held at Matabane Street in Moletsane Soweto. “Let’s all support his family and Yeoville Police Station in whatever manner we can in this trying times. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said Mabizela.
