Councillor visits nursery school

ORCHARDS – Previously the principal of a nursery school, Ward 73 Councillor Eleanor Huggett paid a visit to Coronation Day Early Learning Centre.

Ward 73 councillor Eleanor Huggett has always had an overwhelming love for children and their development.

The councillor recently took time off from her busy schedule of dealing with service delivery and community issues to visit the children at the Coronation Day Early Learning Centre in Orchards.

Previously the principal of a nursery school, she visited the centre to the absolute delight of the toddlers.

Coronation Day Early Learning Centre was opened in 1952 in Short Street, Orchards. It has a history of excellence and offers a sanctuary to children from one year old to school-going age, predominantly from Orange Grove, Orchards and surrounding suburbs.

It has a dedicated staff of well-trained teachers under the guidance of a supervisor and principal Stella Makande. The school is well equipped and has plenty of outdoor play space.
