Vaal Dam drops below 55 per cent

JOBURG – Level one water restrictions are still in place across the Gauteng province.


The dry conditions across Gauteng has not helped the dam levels across the country, with the Vaal Dam confirmed to have below 55 per cent, currently at 54.87 per cent. 

Gauteng Weather tweeted that level one restrictions are in place across the province which means residents should not water their gardens from 6am to 6pm.

Residents have been advised to use water sparingly.

The South African weather service predicts little to no rainfall in the next coming days.
