How Molefe plans to reach his career heights

LOMBARDY EAST – A young emcee and aspiring radio and TV presenter Comfort Molefe tells of his experience as an upcoming media practitioner and public speaker.

Former Highlands North Boys’ High School learner Comfort Molefe (21) is adamant that through his hard work and creativity, he will one day conquer the entertainment industry.

Molefe is currently a public speaker and an emcee at social and corporate events.

According to him, the entertainment and media industry is challenging but one needs to work tirelessly on their craft and strive to be authentic.

“I’ve always been passionate about public speaking,” he said.

Molefe recalled that public speaking started when he was in Grade 10. “That’s when I started my first public speaking lessons and in Grade 11 I continued. There was a teacher who used to handle the public speaking team.”

At the time, Molefe learnt numerous lessons which he believes enabled him to know who he is and how he should express himself.

While in Grade 10, he was selected to take part in the Columbus leadership programme after he had written a letter explaining his intention of going to the leadership camp. “I did that and I was among the 10 chosen people. We learn about different values which are focus, awareness, creativity, perseverance, integrity, and service.”

Molefe said his teacher encouraged him to try radio and, when he was in Grade 12 back in 2015, he job shadowed at Cliff Central. “I am planning to take my talent further, incorporated it with radio and television.

He concluded that he is passionate about public speaking as it gives him a reason to express himself. “The main thing about public speaking it is that it gives you a voice and makes you feel comfortable about yourself.”
