Police work with communities

SANDRINGHAM – Sandringham police are dedicated to working with community stakeholders to eradicate the crime within their precinct.


Sandringham police, led by District Commissioner Major General Max Masha, visited the Sandringham area for community engagement on Thursday, 12 September.

Together with the Sandringham Police Station management team and community stakeholders, Major General Masha engaged with community members, Community Policing Forum executive members, sector sub-forum members, business forums, street patrollers and security forums and Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD).

The meeting held at Jabula Recreation Centre from 6pm to 10pm aimed to formulate a working relationship between police and stakeholders.

Sandringham Police Station Commander Colonel Lindani Ndlovu together with his management members welcomed the District Commissioner and stakeholders.

“The main objective was to present the crime and to see how the stakeholders can work together with the police to decrease the crime in our area,” said police spokesperson Captain Mahlaume Mamabolo.

Major General Masha interact with the stakeholders to hear their grievances and see how he can help them. He also thanked community stakeholders and encouraged them to continue working with the police.

Masha said the relationship between police and community stakeholders would ensure the police precinct is crime-free.
