JMPD IIOC/CCTV Specialised Unit officers arrested seven suspects for alleged fraud and possession of suspected stolen diesel on 11 September at about 9.50pm.

According to a statement released by Chief of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department David Tembe,  the officers were patrolling around the Jeppestown area along Albermarle Street when they came across four men standing outside a house and in possession of 25-litre containers.

Tembe said the officers stopped to investigate and found that the containers were filled with diesel. When asked where they got it from, the suspects said they had bought it, but couldn’t produce invoices.
