Terry Pheto brings home international best actress award

South-African screen darling Terry Pheto walked away with the best actress award for her role in the movie Faces at the fifth annual British Urban Film Festival Awards.

“Woke up to the amazing news that I won best actress award at the British Urban Film Festival Awards last night in London. What an honour,” Pheto said in an Instagram post.

Terry Pheto’s performance as a long-suffering wife and domestic-abuse victim won her the award. The award was one of three awards for the multi-narrative feature film set across four storylines.  The film was the biggest winner at the ceremony, bagging the best actor and best feature awards for Aki Omoshaybi and director, Joseph A. Adesunloye respectively.
