Take note: Temporary lane closure of Village Road due to repairs

SELBY – The lane closure is necessary for repair work on the M2 bridge which is due to be completed by the end of October.

The current repairs to the M2 bridge underway will impact further roads.

Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) said it would close one lane along Village Road between Ntemi Piliso  and Ussher streets from 23 August to 28 October.

Acting managing director of JRA, Siyabonga Nodu said, “Traffic from M2 Selby off-ramp will be impacted. The lane closure is necessitated by propping of the deck for the construction.”

During peak time traffic in the morning and in the afternoon, Metro police officers will be assisting at certain junctions and they have called on motorists to reduce speed when entering the lane closure area.
