Acknowledging and honouring the accomplishments and contributions of artists and industry tastemakers in South African dance music, the Dance Music Awards South Africa (DMASA) are an online, public-voted awards platform that aims to push boundaries and drive South Africa’s thriving dance music industry forward.

The awards include 20 categories that range from celebrating the Best Female DJ to the Best Night Club of the year. DMASA presents an opportunity for South African’s to have their say on who they feel has made an outstanding contribution to the increasingly important genre in South African music.

Last year, Da Capo’s Indigo Child took home the award for Album of the Year while Black Motion and Lady Sakhe bagged the Best Live Act and Best Female DJ awards respectively. Nominations are once again open and this is a chance to nominate your favourite dance music tastemakers and put them in line to bag top honours at DMASA 2019.
