Over the weekend, Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss South Africa 2019. The public relations graduate from Cape Town did not only take Miss SA reins but also bagged R3 million in prize money and brand endorsements.

1. She’s a die-hard Marvel fan.

2. She holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and is pursuing a B Tech in PR

3. She was born and bred in Tsolo, eSdwadweni in the Eastern Cape.

4. She is an advocate for education and her mother and father work within the education spheres. Her mother is a principal at a school in Eastern Cape while her father works at the Department of Higher Education and Training.

5. She plans to challenge westernised beauty standards by proudly owning her short natural hair while representing South Africa on a global scale.

Tunzi is set to represent South Africa at the Miss Universe on 19 December. While runner-up, Sasha-Lee Olivier will represent the country at Miss World.
