The Boikanyo Bug launch took place at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital (NMCH), 6 Jubilee Road, Parktown on 18 July – the little bug from Boikanyo foundation will drive from Cape Town to Romania to raise funds for cardiac surgeries for children.
Fundraising has started off strong, as funds for 18 surgeries have been raised so far, they are hoping to raise funds for 125 cardiac surgeries by the end of the drive.

Health minister Zweli Mkhize was also present during the launch, he addressed drivers from Boikanyo Foundation before they set off on their trip.
