SANBS encourages community members to make a difference by donating blood at Kew activation

KEW – The 35-year-old car dealership's employees donated blood ahead of the long weekend to help save lives.

 


A local a 35-year-old car dealership company and hundreds of its employees embarked in a massive blood donation campaign ahead of 16 June to help save lives and help those in dire need of this scarce commodity in the country.

According to Eagle Ford sales principal Rene Victor, long weekends are notorious for accidents that occur the country’s roads. “We as staff members of the company decided to give back to the community by donating a precious gift to those in need. It is a well-known fact that our country’s blood service utility coffers run short of blood during periods like long weekends due to a number of deadly road incidents.

“We have also invited our customers and members of the public to join us in this great initiative by offering them a free car wash if they donate blood. We hope that the little will go a long way in helping the utility do its good job of saving lives.”

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) urged community members to donate blood to help save lives of those in need of blood countrywide.
