SAXONWOLD – The CCIN cohesive synergy against crime is being held at the Military Museum in Saxonwold.

The Metro police have demonstrated how a trained dog can track explosives. The demonstration is part of Civilian Crime Intelligence Network’s (CCIN) cohesive synergy against crime, with attendees such as MMC for Public Safety Michael Sun and founder of CCIN, Dr Reeza Patel.

The audience also got a demonstration of a crime scene and how ER services together with law enforcement deal with it.

The Civilian Crime Intelligence Network (CCIN) held a cohesive synergy against crime at the Military Museum in Saxonwold.
The CCIN established in 2014 as an agent seeking to bring change in the fight against crime. The CCIN does not replace or interfere with the existing functions, roles and responsibilities of it’s members but rather partners up with entities such as the police, Metro police, EMS and Fire Services and community policing forums.
Dr Reeza Patel from CCIN said in his opening address today, 29 June, “We will focus on the targeted community-specific interventions such as reducing youth violence, gang affiliation and drugs.”
Patel added that CCIN is a group of civil societies who have come together to build bridges between official lawmaking entities and civilians in the fight against crime.

Also in attendance was MMC for Public Safety Michael Sun says the Metro police working with Mayor Herman Mashaba have decided to share monthly (JMPD) crime stats instead of the annual ones as this is in a bid to create more awareness and check the progress made.
