Tino Matz to take SA Afro-beat to the top

JOBURG – Tino Matz releases Procrastinating ahead of upcoming Supply and Demand album.

South African Afro-pop is steadying up to be on the same international scale as eastern and western African Afro-pop as budding artists such as Tino Matz, a young Zimbabwean South African-based muso put in their 10 000 hours.

The multi-genre musician alternates between sonic grounds in Afro-beat, hip-hop and R&B. Tino Matz’s interest in music started in 2011, developing his skill in song-writing, but, it was only in 2016 when he released his debut single, Won’t Find Love, to critical acclaim.

Tino Matz released his debut EP, The Gift Unwrapped, in 2017 and the musical project consisted of eight songs with two lead singles, She Falling and Show You Flames.

“The EP was a collection of songs to give people a glimpse of what I can create as well as the diversity that comes with my art. My artistry allows me to work with different sounds from different genres furthermore I don’t like limiting myself to one rigid genre, I’m just too creative,” Tino Matz said.

This winter Tino Matz released his lead single Procrastinating off his upcoming music project titled Supply and Demand. On this Afro-pop self-proclaimed hit, he celebrates his love and beauty of his muse that he’s in constant pursuit of pleasure delayed. On production he tagged Nigerian producer, Hosh, giving listeners this noteworthy hit to add onto their playlists.
