ROSEBANK – Local residents share their thoughts on the recent spike of smash and grabs in the area.

With recent incidents of smash and grab attacks by Bompas Road and Jan Smuts Avenue, the Rosebank Killarney Gazette asked residents what they felt about the safety measures in the area. This is what they had to say…

SILKE GLANER: Robberies are happening all over and every day. Yes, we see patrol cars and police visibility, but more can be done to protect the area and the people that come to visit or for business.

AMANDA MOYO: It really is a concern because safety is lacking in most areas and not just here. So definitely more can be done to make us all feel safer.

LUNGILE DLAMINI: There’s no safety. Even parked cars get stolen in these areas and neighbouring shops have reportedly been robbed. Something should definitely be done.
