JOBURG – Ahead of the very first Casa Corona, celebrity chef, Nti Ramaboa, tantalises our taste buds with a culinary experience influenced by themes from Mexico, France and Spain.

Casa Corona will be hitting South Africa for the first time this weekend. Taking place from 21–23 June, the weekend-long lifestyle experience brings together artistry in the form of music, photography, food and mixology.

Ahead of the very first Casa Corona, celebrity chef, entrepreneur, and curator Nti Ramaboa, tantalised our tastes with a culinary experience influenced by themes from Mexico, France and Spain.

“Today, we’re fusing Latin-American cuisine with African cuisine. You’re in for a feast, a big feast, So what’s happening today, we’re giving you a preview. As you know, over the weekend we’re celebrating and Corona has been doing a series of events where the theme is #FindYourSunset. Today, we’re just giving you a preview of what to expect this weekend,” Chef Nti said.

The afternoon soiree took place at her nice and cosy restaurant, Taste Kitchen, in Maboneng. The space prides itself in its modern take on African cuisine and pairing good food with good people.

“This is a place where I do all my experiments in the kitchen. I’m known more for making special meals using ingredients you find in your house every day. My style of cooking is more Afro-fusion,” she said.

Casa Corona takes place this weekend at Nirox Foundation Sculpture Park and promises a weekend-long experience of iphonography workshops, mixology, Latin-American cuisine, outdoor cinema and a silent concert.
