A young vibrant trio, 047, is set to take on the National Arts Festival. The trio made up of Sihle, Lihle and Ngcali was discovered by Afro-pop icon Vusi Nova two years ago.
The band successfully released their debut album, Wen’Ungowam last year and has garnered a fan base that ranges from young to old, however, they seem to get consistent support from the high school demographic.
Taking place from 27 June to 7 July, the National Arts Festival is the biggest annual celebration of the arts on the African continent.
Having been nominated for Newcomers of the Year at the SAFMA’s 2019, O47 is slated to take over the Victoria Theatre on from 4–6 July.
