Joburg Mayor Herman Mashaba to commemorate World Environment Day at Joburg Zoo
JOHANNESBURG – Executive Mayor of City of Johannesburg Herman Mashaba joins World Environment Day commemoration at Joburg Zoo.
Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba will commemorate World Environment Day alongside the United Nations Environment Programme (Unep) at the Johannesburg Zoo on 5 June.
The mayor will be joined by MMC for Community Development Nonhlanhla Sifumba, MMC for Group Corporate and Shared Services Ntombi Valencia Khumalo and MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services Nico de Jager.
The City said the day is the United Nation’s main vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment and is celebrated in more than 100 countries.
