Parktown High School for Girls celebrated Africa Day on 25 May, remembering the various liberation struggles engaged by African nations in gaining their independence and freedom.
Head of the department for history and social sciences Theresa Maneli said, “This year, the history department has chosen to celebrate Africa Day by hosting a door decorating competition. The competition was inspired by similar competitions in America for Black History Month.”
