Jo Black and Albie Morkel give a sneak peak to The Ultimate Aim Sports Pavillion

JOBURG – The Ultimate Aim Sports Pavilion will officially open its doors on 31 May with the grand opening scheduled to be celebrated with a Jo Black concert.

Jo Black, Albie Morkel and partners, Michael de Jongh, Wynand van Zyl and Bierman Smit shared their brand-new sports and entertainment centre, The Ultimate Aim Sports Pavilion, with media and selected guests for the first time at the official media launch on Thursday evening, 16 May.

The launch took place at the new facility in Montana Park, Pretoria, and was an unforgettable gala event, with the tastiest food, the best entertainment and the most enjoyable atmosphere.

Morkel took the opportunity to share more information about the sports centre while Jo Black talked about his new theatre restaurant, The Bearded Butcher, which will serve as the live entertainment hot spot of the new venue.

Black took to the stage to deliver an acoustic rendition of Chris Stapleton’s Fire Away. Rubber Duc, Werner Bekker, Janie Bay and Free Beer Cover Band entertained the guests for the rest of the evening, which provided a nice example of the type of shows that people can look forward to when visiting the restaurant.

The Ultimate Aim Sports Pavilion will officially open its doors on 31 May. The grand opening will be celebrated with a Jo Black concert and tickets to the event are available to the public.  The sports section of this jewel will boast a variety of sporting activities, such as an archery range, a sophisticated, high-definition golf simulator, a shop selling golfing gear, cricket nets, pitch and putt greens, a shop with fishing gear and much more.

The Bearded Butcher will bring various art forms to the stage; from music to stage productions and even comedy shows. The kitchen will be manned by well-known kykNET Kokkedoor finalist Linde Watson Graaff, who also has her own show on SABC 2 and the menu will consist of carefully selected dishes unique to the restaurant with its rustic décor.

There is a large play area to keep the kids busy, as well as several function areas to suit any client’s needs. The restaurant area will cater to those who want to enjoy a relaxing meal, while drinks and tapas platters (with a South African twist) will be served in the Tapas Bar for people wanting something a bit less formal.
