Mlindo the Vocalist collects plaques as debut album goes platinum
JOBURG – Mlindo the Vocalist reaches milestones as hit single, Amablesser reaches 4x platinum while Macala reaches platinum status, Egoli, Emakhaya and uSbahle reach gold status.
Released last year, Mlindo the Vocalist’s debut album, Emakhaya, has gone platinum. The young muso broke the news on his Instagram page.
The milestone coincides with his hit single, Amablesser also reaching 4x platinum while Macala has reached platinum status, Egoli, Emakhaya and uSbahle reached gold status.
“Thank you to everyone that supports & gives love to the boy, Thank you to Sony Music Africa, Blaqboy Music, Sjava for Egoli, DJ Maphorisa for everything….Thank you to you too, love & appreciate all of you for the love,” Mlindo said in the Instagram post.
By any standards, this is an incredible feat for any artist to achieve with a debut project. The album has seen the musician grace a number of festivals countrywide while reaching close to 45 million streams and bagging a nomination in the Best Newcomer category at this year’s Samas.
