WATCH: Former President Kgalema Motlanthe arrives at Killarney Country Club to cast his vote

KILLARNEY – Former President Kgalema Motlanthe talks to media at Killarney Country Club.

Former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe has arrived at the Killarney Country Club on 8 May to cast his vote in the 2019 elections.

He arrived with his wife and was greeted by excited onlookers. His term in office was from September 2008 to 9 May 2009.

Motlanthe addressed the media who asked about his previous statement regarding the African National Congress (ANC).

“I said that the conference [2017] offers many opportunities for the ANC to correct what is wrong and it’s weaknesses. However, that it takes courage for delegates to do that.”

After his address, he did not hesitate to join the very long queue.
