Cortac Security apprehended three men who were in possession of a hijacked vehicle in Parkhurst on the corner of 4th Avenue and 6th Street.
They were later arrested by Parkview police. Parkview police spokesperson, Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said the suspects’ vehicle was checked with police radio control and it was verified that the vehicle had been reported as hijacked in Roodepoort. She added that the suspects were arrested immediately for possession of presumed stolen vehicle.
The three suspects appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on 15 April.
“The Station Commander of Parkview, Colonel Theledi Gopane would like to commend Cortac Security and Parkview police members for apprehending the suspects,” Sibeko added.
