4 fleeing suspects crash into tree despite carrying ‘protective muthi’

PARKWOOD – Suspects were being chased by security after fleeing a robbery.

Four suspects have crashed into a tree while being chased by security companies after an alleged house robbery in Parkview.

Rosebank police, as well as other security companies, are at the scene of the crash in Parkwood at Worcester Road and Wells Avenue.

On 16 April it is alleged that four suspects tried to flee the scene of a house robbery in a charcoal Kia Rio when security companies gave chase. The suspects later crashed into a tree.

The details surrounding the house robbery have not yet been released by police.

Rosebank police spokesperson Sergeant Bongi Mdletshe said all four suspects were arrested, three are detained at Rosebank Police Station while the other is at Parkview.

Watch:

Police recovered items which are apparently worn by suspects which look like pieces of wool that contain muthi inside a small package. It allegedly ‘protects them and makes them invisible or untouchable when they commit crimes’.
