Watch as Parktown Girls bring a twist on the famous Cinderella story

PARKVIEW – The show will take place from 8 to 12 April.

Parktown High School for Girls invites the public to view their entertaining major production of Stepsisters from 8 to 12 April at the school.

Head of culture at Parktown Girls Lauren Rorke said the show is based on the book by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus with music by Dennis Poore.

“What makes this extra special is that with our girl cast, characters are diverse in all aspects. Ella is not the Cinderella everyone knows and loves and her evil stepsisters may not be evil,” said Rorke.

“The story is told from the stepsisters’ side and the audience will enjoy how the story is told.”

The show is suitable for all ages and community members are encouraged to bring their grandmothers and small children.

Tickets can be bought at the door on the night (cash only), however, to avoid disappointment the public can book beforehand at the school’s finance office.

There will also be refreshments on sale on the night.

Afternoon shows will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for R50 per person and the evening shows from Monday to Friday for R80 per person.
