Mix 93.8 FM donates new washing machine to Alice Wilson
LOMBARDY EAST – This is one of the four Mix 93.8 FM listener's lucky streak.
A local 81-year-old was one of the lucky listeners Mix 93.8 FM chose to help as part of their #FillYourHeart campaign.
To commemorate the month of love, Mix 93.8 FM decided to fill the hearts of community members in a unique way. Listeners were encouraged to email and nominate themselves or someone else for a little assistance from the radio station.
The station went through countless emails they received and ultimately chose four entrants whose needs needed to be fulfilled. Alice Wilson, one of the four entrants, is a resident of Sappers Haven Retirement Village in Lombardy East and was nominated by her friend Irene Kambouris. Kambouris let the radio station know that Wilson did not have a washing machine and was doing most of her laundry by hand.
This led the radio station to deliver a brand new washing machine to the Wilson at her home.
