21 people injured in a bus collision

PARKHURST – A bus collision has left 21 people injured in Parkhurst.


In a statement released by Netcare’s media liaison officer Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the corners of 4th Avenue and 6th Street in Parkhurst, Johannesburg.

The collision is said to have happened around 7.06am. It is reported that the driver of a bus lost control resulting in a collision with an electrical box and a light motor vehicle.

“Twenty-one passengers sustained minor injuries in the crash,” Herbst said in the statement.

The injured patients were transported by various ambulance services to the hospital for further treatment after being assessed.

All necessary authorities were present at the scene.
