WATCH: Grand White Dinner kicks off 2019 season with a bang

The Grand White Dinner is kicking off its 2019 season with a bang and is definitely not one to miss out on.

Taking place on 30 March, the prestigious annual event is South Africa’s leading lifestyle pop-up picnic event. Since its establishment in 2014 the purpose of the event was to bring people together – with a simple request that all the guests dress all in white with a touch of gold.

This year, the Grand White Dinner has created a platform for potential models and designers to grace the runway at the Grand Fashion Show with the aim to promote local designers and encourage people to wear and buy local design.

South Africa’s top designers that will be showcasing their designs include, Carducci, C-squared, IMPRINT, MAZE Collective, and Jacques Lagrange Couture.

“We are just ecstatic to bring yet another creative venture to the people and to share something that promotes unity, freedom, and friendship,” said the Grand White CEO, Stephan Dau.

Guests can expect to spend an extraordinary afternoon and evening with friends and family, filled with delicious food and music as the entertainment programme will feature many acts, including Zakes Bantwini and Busiswa while other acts will be announced soon.

The season started in Cape Town on 9 March, followed by Johannesburg on 30 March, Pretoria on 6 April and Durban on 13 April, at a secret location that is revealed on the morning of the event.

Gates are open from 1pm–10pm, guests may bring their own picnic baskets with food to the Grand White Dinner. We have a variety of food and beverage vendors available on offer, along with entertainment and stalls to browse.

Tickets can be purchased online via Howler. Each ticket includes a free bottle of Haute Cabriére Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2017.
