WATCH: Pallance Dladla and Amanda Du Pont star in action-packed Netflix series

JOBURG – New Netflix series, Shadow, promises to be action-packed.

Online streaming giant, Netflix, has dropped the trailer for their soon to be released series – Shadow, a South African production that follows Shadrach ‘Shadow’ Khumalo, a police detective and former task force specialist who embarks on bringing justice following the murder of a young girl.

The Gareth Crocker-directed series stars Pallance Dladla as Shadow and Amanda Du Pont as Ashley and is the second locally produced series on Netflix following Queen Sono which was announced last year with principal photography for its first season scheduled to start in April.

With the help of his ex-partner, Ashley, Shadow takes on the chaotic Joburg underworld as it attempts to ‘fix’ the City of Gold’s trenches. He has a rare condition that affects his central nervous system and makes him resistant to physical pain.

The show’s synopsis already reads like an action-packed series and it has been rumoured that several of the actors have committed to performing some of their own stunts. Shadow is slated to debut on Friday, 8 March.
