MURDER CASE: Sandringham police need assistance from community

SANDRINGHAM – Help police find justice for a 21-year-old male stabbed near Riverpark Library.


Sandringham police are asking the community to come forward regarding the murder of a 21-year-old male to enable them to take the case further.

According to the spokesperson for the Sandringham Police Station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo, a murder occurred on the street in front of River Park Library on 20 February at about 11:57pm. “It is alleged that on that day, two young boys were busy on their cell phones on the fence of the library, as usual, as they had a free Wifi at that specific location.

“At that time, two unknown suspect approached the two young boys. One managed to run away but the 21-year-old was caught and stabbed to death. From there, the two suspects ran away.”

Mamabolo explained that they were investigating a case of murder and at the moment no one has been arrested. “Sandringham police are asking anyone who knows the suspects or who witnessed this barbaric act to come forward in solving this case.”
