JOBURG – Trap music’s forerunners show up for a celebration of the culture.

On Saturday, 2 March, Red Bull Music Presents: Young & Infamous saw some of trap music’s forerunners come together to celebrate the tram music movement.

The event was free to attend and saw 12 of Joburg’s best trap and hip-hop talent perform at the Alex Theatre in Braamfontein.

The line-up included DJs Sean Kross, Uncle Partytime as well as thrash punk band which was started by the members of Skate Society Fam, TCIYF.

International rapper, Gator, who has amassed 126 000 streams online brought his energy-fuelled performance to the stage as well as Construction Boyz, Will Cardiac, and style rap phenoms 45 Degrees and Windows 2000.

The line-up was completed by PatricKxxLee, Espiquet, Lethabo Ascid and Champagne69.
