Samantha Leonard releases debut album

JOBURG – Samantha Leonard releases debut album and is slated to perform at this year’s kykNET Ghoema awards.

Popular singer and The Voice SA 2017 third place runner-up, Samantha Leonard, has released her debut album, ‘n Duisend Keuses.

“My goal with the album is to inspire people and make a difference in their lives with my music. Secondly, it would be amazing if my album can be successful in the music industry, so that I may continue doing what I love, singing,” explained Leonard.

On the album, Leonard collaborated with the talented Vaughan Gardiner and Hugo Ludik from Muse Productions. She wrote seven songs, while four of the songs were written by Vaughan and Nerine Gardiner. There’s also an upbeat dance tune by Vaughan Gardiner and Hugo Ludik.

“I wanted a bit of everything with my song choices – each song had to tell a story based on my life experiences. There is a few breathtaking ballads, a few dance tunes and also a bit of rock, giving my album that edge. It’s not easy to choose between these songs, each one is unique and special. My first single which is also the album title, ‘n Duisend Keuses, remains my number one choice as it’s my most truthful and personal song on the album,” Samantha added.

Samantha is slated to perform at this year’s kykNET Ghoema awards on 17 April at the Sun Arena in Pretoria and is ready to share her album on her countrywide tour.

“I have the privilege to work with one amazing team – Starburst Promotions, managing all my publicity, my manager Chantal Kruger, my parents Lyell and Lourinda Leonard, my family and all my friends. Without them this would never be possible,” Leonard said.
