Sandringham police reflect on last month’s crime success

SANDRINGHAM – The station spokesperson Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo provided a few tips to follow in order not to fall prey to street robberies.


The start of the new year and the aim to rid the area of crime saw Sandringham police making 94 arrests for various crimes during the month of January.

According to the spokesperson for the Sandringham Police Station Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo the crimes were seven common assault, 13 cases of possession of dagga, 29 drunk and driving, six possession of stolen motor vehicle, two housebreaking and theft, two fraud, four possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle, one dealing in liquor without a licence, four undocumented person, one contempt of court, three theft and robbery and three murder cases.

Mamabolo explained that community members needed to be alert of their safety at all times.

He shared some tips to follow to help residents not to fall prey to street robberies:
