St John’s College Grade 8 learner Alex Tafur was awarded a silver medal in the U15 Men’s Foil event at the 2019 South African Junior National Fencing competition held in Soweto on 2 and 3 February.
He was also awarded a silver medal in the U15 Men’s Epee in the Gauteng Fencing Association’s first ranking competition held on 8 February.
