25 January: Word Down The Line film screening

Join Bridge Books from 6pm–8pm as they host the screening of Word Down The Line and a conversation led by Tshepo Masuku. The film follows legendary South African poet Lesego Rampolokeng as he engages poets of social conscience, poets whose work he has grappled with, poets he has argued with and been inspired by. Tickets are available at door for R50.

26 January: Inner City Pub Crawl

Brought to you by Time Anchor Distillery, the Inner City Pub Crawl takes you into some the best venues that Joburg has to offer while going to three different drink and food experiences. Tickets are available on www.quicket.co.za for R400 and include transport on the pub crawl, food, and drinks.

26 January: Kitcheners Social Market 19

27 January: Koolin in the City ‘P-Kuttah Birthday Edition’

The Koolest Sunday rooftop party that brings you the best in hip-hop, beats, RnB and live acts under the Jozi skyline. January is P-Kuttah month and if you have been to Koolin in the City then you know it’s always a vibe. In addition to a crazy DJ line-up, Riky Rick and ByLwansta are set to set the stage alight. 27 January: Isandlwana Lecture – the musical

Artist and cultural doyen Mbuso Khoza will lead The Afrikan Heritage Ensemble in reliving the story of the battle of Isandlwana where inspired Zulu warriors out-thought the mighty British army in this part of the world’s most famous anti-colonialist clashes.
