Pensioners invited to have a cuppa and chat with local ward councillors

CRAIGHALL PARK – Discuss the challenges in your ward with your local councillor.

Ward councillors Tim Truluck, Bridget Steer and Martin Williams invite pensioners from their wards to discuss their issues with them in a one-on-one discussion at local coffee shops on 22 and 23 January.

“Pensioners can pop along, have breakfast or coffee (with a pensioner discount) and chat to a councillor about any problems they may have. We also check your voter registration details for you,” said Truluck.

He said the ward councillors decided to arrange this to assist pensioners who have been struggling with the valuation objection and appeal process.

The first coffee session will take place on 22 January from 9am to 11am at Hodges Coffee Shop at the Colony Shopping Centre, corner of Rothesay and Jan Smuts avenues, Craighall Park. Ward 117 councillor Truluck and Ward 90 councillor Williams will be present at this meeting.

The second session will take place at the same time on 23 January with Ward 87 councillor Bridget Steer and Ward 117 councillor Truluck present. This will take place in Parkview at Foyer Coffee Shop in Tyrone Avenue.
