City Power has announced three planned power outages in and around the Rosebank Killarney Gazette distribution area over the next few weeks.
All the outages are planned to take place from 8am to 4pm daily, however, delays may occur.
Here are the planned outages affecting residents:
- 8 January: Parkhurst substation (affecting 2 200 customers): Areas affected include Parkhurst, Parktown North, Saxonwold, Parkwood, Craighall Park, Dunkeld West, Houghton Estate, Parkview, Forest Town, Craighall, Hyde Park, Parktown, Westcliff and Greenside
- 14 January: Forest Town substation (affecting 1 000 customers): Areas affected include Saxonwold, Parkwood, Forest Town, Westcliff, Parktown, Parkview and Houghton Estate.

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck said, “Some suburbs are served by different substations, for example, Saxonwold and Parkwood are on all the notices but it will not affect the whole suburb every time, just portions on each day.
