Yanga Sobetwa crowned Idols SA season 14 winner
JOBURG – The 17-year-old bags the season 14 crown.
The Idols has officially pushed Yanga Sobetwa and Thato Makape, Mzansi’s upcoming superstars, to the max. This follows season 14’s finale which saw the contestants go head-to-head for the title, however, Yanga Sobetwa beat Makape and was crowned Idols SA season 14 winner.
Sobetwa’s win sees her become an instant millionaire with awesome prizes that include a record deal, car and countless trendy prizes.
“I can’t put into words how I feel right now, but I can say it in song,” Sobetwa said.

Both finalists delivered thrilling performances as they performed their Showstopper week songs and collaborated on the duet, Dusk till Dawn by Zayn Malik and Sia. They also debuted the videos for their first original singles.
Gavin Wratten, Idols SA’s director and executive producer, said the 14th season made reality TV history in South Africa by surpassing 100 million votes.
Former winners Paxton Fielies and Karabo Mogane took the stage along with the likes of Black Coffee, Msaki, DJ Tira, AKA, Okmalumkoolkat, Mlindo the Vocalist and Kwesta.
