2 November: Night market pop-up

Arts on Main is headed to 44 Stanley or a fabulous night market pop-up. In addition to all the shops and restaurants staying open late, your favourite market vendors will be scattered around the centre. Enjoy and soak up the night sky on 2 November.

3 November: Miss Jozi 2018 Grand Finale

Showstopper event, the Miss Jozi Beauty Pageant returns again to crown this year’s queen at Miss Jozi 2018 Grand Finale at the Bassline in Newtown. The contestants will battle it out across three categories: casual wear, swimwear and evening gown with a message, all vying for the ultimate crown on 3 November.  Tickets are available on www.webtickets.co.za from R200 – R350.

3 November: Concerning Blacks

In his first solo show in five years, Makhafula Vilakazi has curated an expression of experiences in Concerning Blacks, a complex mourning and rebellion that places the obligation on blacks to do with their condition and lives as they see fit. On 3 November, the poet will be joined by Koketso Poho and M’Afrika, Nhlanhla Ngqaqu from Iphupho L’ka Biko among others. The works are steeped in the spiritual and the offering will comprise offerings from his new album scheduled to drop in the first quarter of 2019.  Tickets are available at the door and on at www.joburgtheater.co.za at R100.

3 November: All Night Long

On 3 November, Jullian Gomes is back for his All Night Long show in the heart of Johannesburg. Catch his six-hour extended DJ set full of musical influences that shape his sound as well as unreleased music from his forthcoming releases. All this and more at And Club in Newtown. 4 November: The Rocky Horror Sing-Along
