Show your support for World Breast Cancer Awareness Month and take part in the Bra Dash

PARKHURST – Join the Bra Dash to raise awareness about breast cancer.

Craft Restaurant in Parkhurst and PinkDrive encourage the community to join them in their fight against breast cancer on 28 October as they take to the streets for the 5th annual Bra Dash.

Funds raised through the event will go to PinkDrive to assist them as they travel to urban and semi-urban areas to give medically uninsured people access to women’s health services. These services include free education on women’s health, free mammograms, free pap smears, free clinical exams and education on how to do breast exams for themselves.

Marketing manager at the PinkDrive, Fébé Meyer said, “October marks World Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This event is a great opportunity to unite in the fight against breast cancer as well as raise funds and awareness for the cause.”

“PinkDrive would like to sincerely thank the Craft team for their amazing support. We are humbled to be part of their initiative,” said Meyer.

Both male and female participants are encouraged to wear pink bras for the dash, which starts and ends at Craft Restaurant in 4th Avenue, Parkhurst.

Entrants, who can enter on the morning of the dash, are also encouraged to bring along a donation for the cause. The event will begin at 10am.

PinkDrive will offer free clinical breast examinations on the day.
