Prepare for the planned water outage on 24 October

ROSEBANK – Take note of the planned water outage announced by Joburg Water for 24 October.

Joburg Water has announced that there will be a planned water outage on 24 October between 8am and 5pm affecting 10 000 properties in Houghton, Rosebank, Melrose and extentions, Melrose Estate, Birdhaven, Killarney, Saxonwold, Riviera, Parktown North, Dunkeld and Parkwood.

Joburg Water announced in a statement that it would be supplying water tankers to the affected suburbs.

Ward 74 councillor David Fisher said, “There have been many challenges with the supply and pressure of water in the Melrose Birdhaven area as well as the surrounding suburbs. Joburg Water is continually upgrading and improving the system which will necessitate a disruption on this day to allow for the completion of another project. We would request residents to plan for this and we trust that they will benefit from this maintenance.”
