City Power has announced that there will be a planned power interruption today at 10pm affecting areas including Illovo, Norwood, Inanda, Houghton Estate, Melrose, Oaklands, Melrose Estate and Orchards areas.
According to a statement from City Power, “The power interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network which is part of our program of constantly striving to provide better service.”
The outage will begin at 10pm today and continue until 6am tomorrow.
“As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times,” said the statement.
