DSJ raises money for the Sunflower Fund

PARKTOWN – Children of the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg raise funds for the Sunflower Fund.

Little ones of the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) supported the Sunflower Fund recently collecting R11 550 for the cause.

The Sunflower Fund helps people who have blood diseases such as leukaemia through the recruitment of stem cell donors and maintaining a registry of potential donors committed to helping anyone in need of a life-saving stem cell transplant, explained event facilitator and DSJ kindergarten teacher Kirsten Dunn.

Little ones at Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg support the Sunflower Fund.

“Their slogan reads ‘Hope begins with you’ and so I took it upon myself to introduce this charity to my work environment. The Regenbogen-Kids have stood united at every Bandana Day, now Sunflower Day, since 2011. I am extremely proud and thankful to be able to say ‘Hope begins with us’,” said Dunn.
