Sandringham murder case still under investigation

SANDRINGHAM – The body of a women found in Lombardy West is being analysed at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Pretoria.

 

The Sandringham police are still waiting for results from the Forensic Science Laboratory in Pretoria to help identify a body found in Lombardy West.

Spokesperson for the Sandringham Police Station Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said that the body of an unidentified female was found and a case of murder has been opened. The female is said to have been around 30 years old.

Mamabolo said that the body has yet to be identified and are calling on the public for any information on missing family members or friends. Investigating officer for the case Detective Warrant Officer Matsobane Galane said that the body was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Pretoria to determine the women’s exact identity and cause of death.

Galane added that it is believed that the murder was carried out somewhere else and that the body was transported to the site where it was discovered.
