JOBURG – Nando’s takes shots at South Africa’s advertising industry.

Known for their edgy and humorous adverts, Nando’s has an assortment of free-range adverts that do not hold back – no topic is off limits and anyone can get roasted in a split second.

#MoreSAFlavour is the latest addition in their pecking ads and takes a shot at South Africa’s branding and advertising industry, particularly its overuse of the ‘afro-futuristic’ aesthetic that usually features neon lights, Black Panther-like costumes, chaos and smoke bombs in the streets.

With regards to the same type of adverts, Nando’s ad asks, “Is this how we sell things now?” and makes it known that ‘there’s more than one flavour to South Africa’.
